Hi everyone! I had my hair transplant six months ago, and I’m really happy with the results so far. The procedure was done by Dr. Priyanka, a highly qualified specialist, and I’m very satisfied with the treatment and overall experience. I’d also like to thank Dr. Tincy for the excellent post-operative guidance and care, and Ms. Kalpana for her continuous support and follow-ups throughout my treatment. Overall, I would definitely recommend this DHI clinic to anyone looking for good results and proper care. It may be slightly more expensive than other centres, but in my experience, it’s worth the money.

I underwent a hair restoration session at DHI Madras in the 3rd week of July 2026. Prior to my visit, I researched online & read various blog posts, which clearly indicated that the DHI method of implantation was superior. Initial Inquiry & Consultation: On July 16th, I made a casual visit & spoke with Dr. Tincy Thomas, who assessed my condition & provided an objective opinion. A quick visual examination revealed mild seborrheic dermatitis, for which she recommended specific shampoo & medication. She also discussed the possibility of transplanting 7,000 hair follicles & explained the associated costs. Dr. Tincy took the time to clarify why DHI was superior, emphasizing that the information on their website .My research on patient review videos—both DHI & non-DHI experts showed me that the information was accurate. My Personal Circumstances: Time was a critical factor for me. I had come to IND after a long gap, with upcoming social commitments—including weddings in BLR & KOL—& planned to return mid-August for work. I didn’t want visible signs of surgery to interfere with my professional life. Given my routine of regular blood tests in IND, I was advised to undergo additional tests such as blood pressure/HIV screenings, aligned with preoperative requirements. Despite a busy schedule, Dr. Tincy managed to fit me into the surgery schedule for July 23rd & 24th—just a week after my initial visit—Her h&ling of the situation demonstrated exceptional professionalism; she understood my needs & effectively positioned the services accordingly. Her expertise in sales & patient communication was evident—she was a true asset to your front line. Its not easy for subject matter experts who can also sell. Preoperative Instructions: I received precise preoperative instructions from Dr. Tincy, which she clearly communicated. The plan was to focus on extraction & implantation in the crown area on the first day, followed by the frontal section on the second day. Unexpected Circumstance: During the procedure, it was observed that part of my donor area was affected by psoriasis—an unexpected development. Neither Nurse Manu, Nurse Kurian, nor Dr. Deepak Sugumanikam anticipated this. Dr. DS explained that this was likely an autoimmune response & offered two options: (a) apply steroid cream & tablets to reduce inflammation before proceeding, or (b) continue with the operation but use fewer follicles—about 6,449 instead of 7,000—by drawing from healthier donor areas. I was disappointed by this unforeseen outcome, but Drs. Tincy & Deepak provided detailed pros & cons for each option. The decision was entirely mine, & at no point was I rushed or pressured. Their approach reflected genuine patient-centric care. Operation Day 1 & 2: Nurses Manu, Kurian, & Karthik supported the procedure by advising on medications, saline use, & allergy testing. The operation was performed solely by Dr. DS, in line with DHI’s emphasis on specialist-led procedures, not involving nurses in the implantation process. Nurses assisted only with tools & patient care, not with the actual hair implantation. The extraction on Day 1 involved removing follicles from both sides of my head, including the crown & parts of the frontal area, taking approximately 4-5 hours. Day 2 focused on completing the frontal section, same hours. Dr. Deepak’s concentration & skill were evident throughout. The housekeeping staff managed breaks & meals seamlessly, contributing to a smooth experience. Postoperative Care: Post-surgery, I was provided with medication & saline for scalp rinsing. I returned on August 10th for a scalp rinse & received further instructions on medications, external applications, & precautions. Due to legal restrictions in my country, I could only carry 3 mths of prescribed medication. I remain in contact with Dr. Tincy on alternative options & medication substitutes under different marketing names. Throughout the process, I observed the high standards of care, professionalism, & genuine concern from the entire DHI team at Madras, India. Truly tickety boo.
